BRUTAL CRIME

AMERICAN HOME SIX PEOPLE MURDERED NEIGHBOURS' DISCOVERY PREMISES IN DISORDER EVIDENCE OF LOOTING By Telegraph— Press Association—Copyright (Received April 2, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, April t A message from Bremerton, Washington, says the police are vainly searching for clues in connection with one of the most brutal crimes ever recorded there. Mr. Frank Flcider, a wealthy retired grocer, his wife, three guests and a maid were fatally shot in Mr. Kleider's palatial summer residence on Earlin Point, overlooking the Pacific, live miles from Bremerton. The place was subsequently looted. Neighbours noticed Mr. Holder's limousine standing outside the residence for three days with three 1" rench poodles locked inside. Their suspicions thus aroused they entered tho house and found the bodies of the six victims in various rooms. Tn some cases tho hands were tied behind the backs and tape had been placed over the mouths and eyes. Broken beer bottles were scattered about the kitchen, the telephone was torn from the wall, the furniture was broken and pitched about and the walls and doors were scarred by bullets. The pockets of the murdered people had been turned inside out and purses were scattered on the floors. Tho authorities think that the Fleiders were having a party at which drinks were served when tho murderers entered and tied up the victims at revolver-point. They believe a general fight occurred, probably when resistance was offered, and that the robbers then shot all the victims indiscriminately.
