WHALING COMPANIES
THE ANTARCTIC CATCH DIFFICULTY OVER SALE (Received April 2, 10.25 p.m.) LONDON, April 2 The City Editor of the Daily Express says some Antarctic whaling companies have sold the season's catch on a. basis or £l2 a ton, but the bulk of the catch remains to be sold. There are-complications owing to Herr Hitler having restricted imports into Germany, which is one of the best markets for whale oil as i,t is used in the manufacture of margarine. It is hoped that Herr Hitler will reconsider his decision. Otherwise the prospects of the whaling companies arc fairly bright as they no longer hold accumulated stocks.
