NINETY-THIRD BIRTHDAY

OLD WHANGAREI RESIDENT I [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] WHANGAREI, Monday An old resident of Whangarei, Mrs. W. Corns, of Mill Road, celebrated her 93rd birthday yesterday. She came to New Zealand from England when a young girl, settling with her parents in Auckland. She later married Mr. Corns, and came to Whangarei 50 years ago. Mr. Corns, who was a former Mayor of Whangarei, died about 12 years ago. Mrs. Corns has one daughter, Mrs. Money, who is living in Switzerland.
