March 31 It is learned that the Professional Golf Association has made a definite offer to Australian officials to send six players to Melbourne for the Centenary celebrations. Also it has an invitation from the Lakes Club, Sydney, for a match. The trip now is considered to be likely. In addition to Kirk wood and Sarazen, who already have indicated their intention of goiiiK to Australia, Horton Smith and Paul Ilunyan, prominent men in professional golf, are considered likely to be candidates.
