MODEL AEROPLANES

CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS Over 400 people attended the first annual outdoor championships of the New Zealand Model Aeroplane Association at Three. Kings on Saturday. Six clubs were represented, and there was keen competition in all events. Sir George Richardson, patron ot the association, addressed the members, and commented on the value of the hobby in fostering the study of aviation. Following were the results: Spar models, hand launched: W. B. Mackley, 1; V. B. Gray, 2; A. Sykes, 3. Time, 6m 1 4-ss. fuselage models, rise oil ground: A. Lottus, 1; A. Dykes, 2; |v Prage, 3.
