NAVAL APPOINTMENTS
(Received March 30, 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, March 29 Rear-Admiral' Elennedy Purvis has been appointed Assistant Chief of Naval Staff in succession to Rear-Ad-miral Sidney Bailey, as from August 15. Rear-Admiral Bailey is to be RearAdmiral Commanding Battle Cruiser Squadron in succession to Vice-Admiral William James.
