MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED

TYRE OF MACHINE BURSTS HEAD INJURIES SUFFERED As a result of falling from a motorcycle he was riding on the Great South Road yesterday morning, a carpenter employed at the Horotiu freezing works, Mr. L. C. Allsopp, suffered head injuries and concussion. Mr. Allsopp, who is single, aged 33, was riding from Horotiu to Auckland. The bursting of the front tyre caused the machine to run into a bank, the rider being thrown to the ground. The injured motor-cyclist was brought to Auckland by a passing motorist and was conveyed to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. His condition last evening was fairly serious.
