BAY OF PLENTY CLUB OFFICERS ELECTED [by telegraph OWN correspondent] WHAKATANE, Thursday The annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Aero and Gliding Club was held last evening, Mr. F. W. Lysaght, president, presiding over a large attendanco of members. The annual report disclosed a satisfactory financial position and a large increase in active membership. The club's activities were still restricted owing to the inadequacy of the present landing ground, although a number of pupils had been enabled to continue instruction and were ready for tests. It was resolved to write to the Auckland Aero Club asking them to arrange an air pageant, to take place on May ,30. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr. K. S. Williams, M.P.; president, Mr. W. E. Armstrong; vice-presidents, Messrs. W, Sullivan, J. D. Dicker and A. J. Canning; club captain, Mr. R. Ferrie; secretary, Mr. C. H. Brebner; treasurer, Mr. K. Armstrong; solicitor, Mr. G. Otley; auditor, Mr. J. Arres; committee, Messrs. H. Armstrong, W. Goodall, J. Allison, 11. Whittle, H. G. Rand, J. Arres, T. McLean and R. Ferrie.
