MAHOAKAHIA CLUB'S SPORTS PRESTON WINS POINTS CUP [from 008 own- connnsroNDEN'r] WHANGAREI, Friday The Mangakahia Athletic and Axemen'» Sports Club's annual sports were hold yesterday in Mr. C. K. Ruddell's paddock at J'akotai in showery weather. There was r largo attendance and an, excellent programme of events was carried out. The entries in all events were large, especially in the chopping events, for which there werp up to 40 entries for each chop. Mr. H. M. Kushworth. M.V. for Bay of Islands, was present.
