March 28 A mishap occurred at Doncaster during a dense fog early this morninc. when the London and North Eastern night express from London to Edinburgh ran into another express, which had left London for the same destination seven minutes earlier. Three mail vans and the brake-van were derailed. No passengers and none of the train's crew were hurt. The trains proceeded on their way after 58 minutes' delay. The cause of the accident is under investigation. The escape from injury of the hundreds of passengers who were travelling in the two trains was due to the fact that the steel frames of the coaches bore the shock of tie impact.
