TRADE NEGOTIATIONS

BRITAIN AND HOLLAND PRELIMINARY STEPS British Wireless RUGBY, March 28 The Government of tie Netherlands has informed the British Government that it is anxious to enter into negotiations with regard to trade between the two countries. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Overseas Trade, Mr. D. J. Colville, stated in the Eouse of Commons to-day that in order to facilitate discussions the Netherlands had decided to continue for a limited period to allot to goods imported from the United Kingdom the quotas which were in force before the recently-pro-posed reductions were enacted. The British Government was arranging to enter into discussions. The status quo on both sides was being maintained in the meantime, in the hope that it would be possible to arrive at a satisfactory arrangement for the future. Mr. Colville said he anticipated that the discussions would be begun at an early date. RUSSIA'S PURCHASES INCREASES IN FEBRUARY LONDON.
