CHORAL SOCIETY

The annual meeting of the Auckland Choral Society was held in the Choral Hall last evening. There was an attendance of over 100. The programme for tho -coining season was decided as follows: —"Hiawatha," the opera "Merrie England," and Handel's "Messiah." The officers elected were:—President, Mr. C. B. Plummer; vice-president, Mr. E. E. Pierce: committee, Mrs. Collier. Miss Johnson, Messrs. J. Black, 11. C. Robinson, T. McGregor. J. H. Bradney, \V. Offer hnd T. Birtle: chairman of committee, Mr. E. E. Pierce; secretary, Mr. F.. Austin; librarian, Mr. 0. Poubblo; assistant-librarian, Mr. 11. Austin; conductor, Mr, Colin Jiustoa.
