FRANKTON QUOTATIONS DEMAND FOR GOOD BEEF [IOIOJI OUR OWN correspondent"] HAMILTON, Tuesday There was an exceptionally heavy yarding of all clftsses of stock at the Frankton saleyards to-day and in order to clear tho pens, the auctioneers were selling until w<4ll past the usual closing time. An extra heavy yarding of all classes of fat sheep came forward and prices for both ewe and wether mutton wero firmer than last week. Lambs, which were also yarded in largo numbers, showed no alteration on late quotations. A heavier yarding of cattle was offered, all good quality lines again remaining very firm. Second quality, of which there was a particularly heavy yarding, also showed a firming tendency. A few pens of store steers sold at unchanged rates.

The supply of fat pigs was smaller j than usual, with the result that all I classes showed a further firming ten- 1 dency. A medium yarding of stores also met with steady competition and sold at improved rates. TUAKAU SHEEP FAIR Alfred Buckland and Sons, Limited, held their second Tuakau sheep t'air on Monday. More than the advertised number camo forward and found ready buyers. Ewes were slightly lower than at tho first fair, but. were well up to expectations. Wethers sold at fully late values, and lambs were dearer. CATTLE AT RANGIRIRI The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports having held its usual stock sale at Kangiriri on luesday, when the firm's entry exceeded tho advertised number (700 cattle). Fat cows were again yarded in good numbers and prices remained firm, while a heavy entry of boner cows sold at unchanged rates. The advertised lines of steers and cows attracted a good attendance of local and outside buyers. The entry comprised a good proportion of 'erown steers, which found a good sale. Fresh-conditioned cows iind heifers remained at unchanged rates. Jersey heifer calves had a good sale. VALUES AT CAMBRIDGE Tho Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports:—At tli9 Cambridge sale on Monday a good yardmcc of sheep was penned. Store lambs met with a ready sale, while breeding, ewes were harder, to quit. An average yarding of cattle sold at late schedule rates. A good yarding of pigs came forward. Choppers and porkers wore in keen demand and sold readily at prices in advance of Frank ton rates. Buconera met with good competition, prices being on a par with late values. COROMANDEL VALUES [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] THAMES, Tuesday Dalgety find Company report having held their Coromnndel sale yesterday, when fully tho advertised number of cattle came forward, and were keenly competed for by u representative attendance of buyers from as far eouth aa Paeroa and To Aroha. Tho Plain 3 and surrounding districts were also well represented. Tho sheep offered were not a very attractive lot, and prices were in consequence inclined to bo slightly easier, with the exception of store lambs, which were readily disposed of at full latp rates.
