ROTORUA NEWS
A number of friends paid a surprise visit to Mrs. ltussell Gardiner at her home in Mf.lfroy Road, recently. Progressive bridge was played, the winner of which was Miss Muriel Cooncy. Floral decorations were carried out in the drawing- room with hydrangeas, zinnias and asters. The guest of honour wore a frock of dove grey figured flat crepe. Those present included: —Mrs. Scarse, Mrs. Tapper, Mrs. W. G. Marshall, Mrs. P. A. Kusabs, Mrs. D. Jervis, Mrs, H. A. Goudie, Miss E. Simmers, Miss E-' Campbell, Miss Muriel Cooney, Miss Cora Moore, Miss E. J. Harris, Miss M. McKcnzie. Mrs. A. Walden is at present spending a holiday at Mount Maunganui, Tauran^a.
Mrs. Colin Taylor and Miss Nan Monckto.il, of Hamilton, arc spending a caravaii.i ng holiday at Cochrane's Park, Rotorua. Mrs. W.. G. Bridger, of Whakatane, is visiting Rotorua, and is tlio guest of Ivor daughter, Mrs. W- G. Marshall, Seddon Street. ."Mrs. C. H. Court, of Stanley Point, and Mrs. Cathro, of Sydney, arc visiting Rotorua and are guests at Hotel Arawa. Airs. .Mitchell, of King Street, has returned i'roin a few days holiday spent at New Plymouth.
