HORTICULTURAL SHOW
DISPLAY AT PUKEATUA [from our own correspondent! TE AWAMUTU, Monday The Pukeatua Horticultural Society's annual show proved very successful, there being more entries in most of tho sections than ever" before. In the dahlia section Mrs. Crowley won the championship and the points prize. Mrs. Solomon exhibited the champion ' gladioli and Mrs. Anderson won tho points prize. Tho champion bloom in the cut flower section was Mrs. McKee's alstromaria, and Mrs. Crowley won the points prize. In the decorative section Miss N. McKee won tho points also a special priso for most points gained by a young lady. Miss E. Tindall won the points prize in the cookery section for exhibitors under 1(3 years, and Miss J. Kurth gained the points prize, in the open class for homo cookery. Messrs. Anderson and Oliver tied for the points prize in the art sestion, and Mesdanjes Jennnett and Oliver for the needlework section In the vegetables and fruit section Mrs, Sharrock gainwl most points. In the children's section Jean Hunter and Albert Clarke were the winners, with Jane Ferguson, sac? ; end to Jean Hunger among the girls.
