MARRIAGE ANNULLED
FIRST HUSBAND REAPPEARS DECREE AT HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday An application for the annulment of a marriage on the grounds that one of the parties was already married was granted by Mr. Justice Herdman in the Hamilton Supreme Court to-day. The applicant was William Henry Robinson (Mr. Meek), who gave evidence that on November 3, 1928, he went through the form of marriage with Gladys Eileen Plaisted, who told him at the time that she had not seen her husband for eight years. A year later, the husband, Richard William Plaisted, reappeared, and Mrs. Plaisted went back to him. There was one child of the marriage between applicant and Mrs. Plaisted. Gladys Eileen Plaisted said 6he married Richard William Plaisted at Dargaville on January 17, 1917. Three years later her husband left her, and she did not see him again for eight years. On November 3, 1928, she went through the form of marriage with William Henry Robinson. In December, 1929, her husband returned to New Plymouth, and in October, 1930, she went to live with him there. A decree of nullity was granted, Hin Honor remarking that the marriage with Robinson would be dissolved forth with.
