PLUNKET MEETING

The first meeting of the Takapnna branch of the Plunket Society, held in the Women's Memorial Hull in Killarnc.v Street on Monday, was well attended, Mrs. ,T. Fotheringham presiding. Tlie report from the Plunket nurse in the district stated that during the memths of December and January there had been 18 new babies and 60 visits had been paid to homes. Over the same period 146 babies had visited the rooms, 171 adults and 52 children. The boxmoney had amounted to 17s 4d for December and £1 Is 4d for January. The report further stated that the general health of the mothers and babies in the district had been good. l?egret was expressed at the resignation of Mrs. T. B. Arthur, one.of the original members, who had efficiently organised the voluntary car service. The resignation of Mrs. J. H. Hume was also received.
