Beau Pere, who is * six-year-old by Son-in-Law from Cinna, is a half-brother to Gay Shield. He will be brought to West-mere by motor-float tomorrow.

Loombination,.,Tuaheahe and Knight of Australia. I MRS. J. CAMPBELL'S TEAM VINTAGE CAUSES ANXIETY [by telegraph OWN correspondent] CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday Mrs. J. Campbell, who has had a great run with her team during the past few months, has had cause for anxiety since the Dunedin meeting. The Dunedin winner Vintage is suffering from either kidney trouble or a rick, and found difficulty in walking about the track to-day". Gaysome contracted a cold on the trip south and it was not thought advisable to produce her on Saturday. Final Shot is thought to be developing a Rplint, rts she, was very lame yesterday, and is receiving veterinary treatment.
NOTES FROM EVERYWHERE TRACK AND STABLE GOSSIP The three-year-old filly Silver Beam, by Silverado from Spotligbt, leaves Wellington for Melbourne to-day. The Demosthenes mare Kahumanrt, dam of Gold Mas. has returned to Hastings from Australia, where she was mated with the Son-in-Law horse Constant Son. The two-year-old gelding Pound Sterling, who won at Rotorua last Saturday, is to bo given a spell owing to soreness, and will probably not race attain this season. Mr. J S. McLcod. of Hastings, president of the New Zealand Racing Conference, has sent hi* two-year-old colt by ('hief Ruler from Tressida to L. Wilson to train at Awapuni. Bainbury is unlikely to race again, owing (o one o£ his forelegs being badly affected, the trouble being in the suspensary 1.-ga-m<*nt. ■lt is probable that the ton of Scherr.o will be used as a sire next season.
