The challenge trophy for the Women's Institute miniature court competition was won by the Marohemo branch. The "Women's Institute trophy for the flower competition was won by Paparoa branch. In the evening there was a large attendance at the Garrison Hall, when Mr. Peter Dawson, the well-known Auckland concert artist, with a company of leading performers, presented a splendid programme, the contributors being Mr. Dawson (bass baritone), solos and recitals: Mr. R. C. Potter, pianoforte solos and accompaniments; Mr.. Harold Taberner (violinist). Mr. Norman Egerton (saxophone soloist). Miss Owen Toogood, (recitals and sketches). Miss Alys Moncur (contralto). Mr. Owen James (tenor), Mr. Frank Egerton (piano numbers). The concert proceeds amounted to approximately £3O. The gate takings at the show were over £SO more than last year.
