ARRIVAL IN GHRISTCH URCH PENDING DOMINION CONTESTS [by telegraph—press association] CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday The New Zealand swimming championships will open at St. Albans baths on Saturday, and competitors are beginning to arrive in the city. This morning the strong Auckland contingent was welcomed by the Canterbury Centre officials. Other visitors include Maniiwatu, West Coast and Wellington competitors.

Mr. L. J. Kenny, Auckland manager, said his team was certain to retain the Yaldhurst Shield for the champion provi ice.

Thi! Auckland swimmers are pleased with the new hath. Their swimming gives promise of great racing, while the style of the women particularly is entirely different from anything seen in Ciristchurch.
