UNUSUAL TELEGRAM
RESOURCE OF SENDER
A resident of Yass, New South Wales,
recently arranged to meet his sister,
who. was motoring from the south coast, y at 2 p.m. on a certain day in front of Parliament House in Canberra. When lio started to motor to Canberra ho had a breakdown and eventually found there was .110 possibility of keeping bis appointment. His sister by that time was motoring across country. The man went to the Yass post office and lodged a telegram addressed to his »ister, "who will be in front of Parliament House, Canberra, to-day at two o'clock, driving a grey car." A telegraph messenger delivered the telegram
to the sister three minutes after her car stopped in front of Parliament House.
