YOUNG WOMAN'S ARREST
CHARGE OF RECEIVING ALLEGATIONS BY POLICE [BY TELECKAPIt —TitESS ASSOCIATION] CHEISTCHURCH, Friday Arrested at. the Christchurch railway station this morning, Marguerite Isobel Smith, aged 26, a domestic, was charged in the Police Court with receiving stolen goods valued at £3. She pleaded not guilty and was remanded on bail until January 18. .Tho police said many stolon articles of clothing were found in' accused's possession. Some wore in trunks and packing cases., in the luggage van of tho train that left for Dunedin this morning, and tho police could not get at them. Inquiries would bavo to bo made at tho other end before tho case could be proceeded with.
