EGG PRICES INCREASE BEST BANANAS CHEAPER Duck eggs are selling at lOd a dozen, and hen eggs at lid, an increase of a penny. Otherwise, little change has occurred in the retail prices of foodstuffs.
Best Marguerite strawberries are a penny cheaper at Is 3cl a chip, while best bananas are selling at 4d a lb., compared with 5d last week. Sunkist oranges are now on the market at 2s 6d to 3s a dozen.
