SO The Australian Dairy Produce Export Board is to hold a special meeting ort Tuesday in Melbourne to discuss means of checking the slump in butter prices. As the current* price of Australian butter in London represents a fall of £l3 to £ls a ton in 11 days, proposals will be submitted for the regulation of shipments. Also it is proposed that butter shall rot be sold to London at the present prices. The board considers that as much butter could be sold to London at 803 a cwt. as at 70s, the latter being the present quotation. However, the board does not seek to determine the prico above 80s a cwt. urtless the market of its own free will goes beyond thai, level. The New Zealand Dairy Board is expected to co-operate.
