In the Adelaide game South Austr tralia, in reply to Victoria's first innings total of 197, made 228 (Nitschke, 55; Richardson, 32). Fleetwood-Smith took six wickets for 61 runs. Victoria's second innings had yielded 132 for no wickets when play ceased for the day (Ponsford, not out, 59; Rigg, not out, 69).
