PETER PAN CABARET
Tn order to celebrate the approaching screening of the Australian film "The Squatter's Daughter," a special night was organised at tho Peter Pan Cabaret on Saturday. In the entrance a miniature farm was erected and over each cubicle branches of bluo gum leaves lent realistic air. A map of Australia also created much interest. A real koala bear was exhibited and caused much interest. A slimming demonstration was given'by Mrs. Leah Taylor, who was assisted by a number of girls. The orchestra played special music. Among those present were:—Mrs. A. .Tones, who wore a frock of ciel blue crinkled crepe; Mrs. Ivan Eccles, apricot crinkle crepe; Mrs. Hansen, black chiffon; Mrs. N. Edgar, gold sequinned frock; Mrs. N. Ansfield, black and white georgette and not; Mrs. A. E. Moore, mqonlight bluo chiffon; Miss Phyllis .lones, white cobweb lace; Miss Pat Buddie, bottle green crinkled crepo with tartan sash; Miss Joan lteyner (Wellington), black fische net; Miss Janet Wallace, Burgundy velvet and diamante trimming; Miss Abbott, white satin; Miss Lois Mahon, black yel vet with sequinned capo.
