PROGRAMME FOR TO-DAY

GOOD ACCEPTANCES KING EDWARD MEMORIAL REVIEW OF THE PROSPECTS The Auckland Racing Club's Spring Meeting will be concluded nt Ellerslie to-day. when the chief races will be the King Edward Memorial Hnndicap and the Epsom Handicap. The turf on the course has received careful attention since Saturday, having been replaced and rolled, and unless there is more rain the going Rhotild be much improved, although it may bo a littlo holding.

Following is tho list of acceptances, with a. review of tho prospects in each race by Archer:— 12.5—NORMAN BY HANDICAP, Of £200; 1 mile Ht. lb. ft. lb. Holly Lu ... 8 5 Good Run ..78 Gay Broney ..82 Don't Lap ..75 Tavern Kjiight 8 0 Jewelled Girdle 7 0 Hawthorn ... 8 0 Caliente .... 7 0 Count Lendroff 711 Supreme Ruler 7 0 Star Artist ..79 The three-year-old Tavern Kuight went well for seven furlongs in the Great Northern Guineas and ho should bo difficult to beat in this class. Form suggests a fine chance for Good Run, and Star Artist is likely to bo dangerous if tho going ia not too heavy. The same applies to Gay Broney and likely improvers are Holly Lu and Hawthorn. Jewelled Girdle belongs to a family of noted mudlarks and would have an undoubted chance if ho would reproduce his track form. Tho likeliest of the others may bo Don't, Lap, who showed a glimpo of form at Cambridge. The favourites msy be ■ / TAVERN KNIGHT, GOOD RUN. STAR ARTIST. 12.45—MAN UK AU HURDLES, Of £300; 2 miles st. lb. st. lb. Cruachan . .il 13 Woe Pat .... 911 Billy Boy ... 11 9 Carlaris .... 9 4 Free Air ... 10 8 Coachman ... 9 0 Although she has a rise of 1 lib and has another quarter of a milo to travel, Wee Pat should again race prominently, as she is fit and stays well. Tree Air is anothor who reads handily placed and it will bo remembered that she was in front with Wee Pat at the last fence on the second day at Paeroa, when sho ran off. Cruachan and Billy Hoy should be capable of creditable performances and Carlaris is also a possibility. Popular fancies may be

WEE PAT. FREE AIR, BILLY BOY. 1.30 —EPSOM ■ HANDICAP, Of £350; 6 fur. st. lb. »t. lb. Creak Gold - fl 13 Pomp .... 7 G Puss Moth . . 812 Brit. Columbia 7 6 Tradesman ..89 Gay Marigold 7 3 Porotiti ... 8 5 Exaggeration . 7 3 King's Archer 711 Hampton Park 7 3 Bracket: Greek Gold and Exaggeration. Pu3s Moth won well on Saturday and should again make a sho'wing in spite of his rise of lllb. However, at the difference he may find it difficult to beat Tradesman, who should be benefited by his race in the Shorts Handicap. Greek Gold and Exaggeration comprise a good bracket, for both should have chances. Porotili should prove more difficult to beat than on Saturday if the going happens to be better, while Pomp, Gay Marigold and British Columbia are all likely light-weights. Good support may be given to TRADESMAN, PUSS MOTH. GREEK GOLD-EXAGGERA-TION BRACKET.

2.IS—KING EDWARD MEMORIAL HANDICAP, Of £500; li miles st. lb. ( st. lb. View Halloo . 9 5 Prince Yal . . 8 2 All Humbug . 8 7 King March . 713 L'Allegro ... 8 7 Lord Val ... 7 10 Carfex .... 8 5 Desert Star . 7 9 Baroscope ... 8 5 Alloy .... 7 0 •Red Sun .... 8 4 Spiral .... 7 0 Bracket: Prince Yal and Lord Yal. Although ho is up Gib, View Halloo should again give a good account of himself, and Baroscope's rise of 9Jlb should not put him out of it. All Humbug, Carfex and Prince Val are likely to run better races over the shorter distance, < while L'Allegro and Lord Val are newoomers with chances. Prince Val and Lord Val will be bracketed and on-a heavy track the combination should be a good one, as both are very partial to such going. The three-year-old Spiral reads best of ■ the others, although Red Sun is a possibility. The favourites may include VIEW HALLOO. CARFEX. LORD VAL-PRINCE YAL BRACKET.

3.0—0N EH UN GA STEEPLECHASE, Of £200; about 3 miles st. lb. si. lb. Neil 11 10 Oreina's King 911 Valpeen .... 11 2 Zane Grey . . 0 11 Riotous . . . 10 13 Kairuri . . . 9 9 Kawini . . . . 10 10 Domo .... 9 0 Patutahi ... 0 13 GrAnt's Opal . 9 0 Neil had a stoppage in his work after running in the "Waikato Hunt Cup and may not bo quite at his best, although ho has been working satisfactorily during the past few days. Form suggests good prospects for Valpeen, and Riotous is likely to take a lot of beating even though i,t will be his first race over country. Kawini and Pitutahi are both likely to make showingß, while of the light-weights Zane Grey and Kairuri read best. The best supported may bo VALPEEN, RIOTOUS, PATUTAHI.

3.45 MUSKET STAKES. Of £300; two-year-olds; 5 fur. st. lb. st. lb. Sporting Song 8 8 Respectful ..78 Gny Egypt ..88 Sirona . .v. . 7 4 Nun Nicer ..78 Red Flame . 7 3 Royal Appellant 7 8 Gallant Knight 7 0 Wahroonga ..78 General Que* 7 0 A repetition of his form in tho Welcome Stakes should make Gay Egypt very difficult to beat. Sporting Song should go well on the easy ground and Sirona is likely to be dangerous with her light weight. Red Flame and Gallant Knight have both shown promise in private and Red Flame may make a forward showing even though it will bo her first race. The best of the others may be Nun Nicer. Investors may follow form and show a preference for GAY EGYPT, SIRONA. SPORTING SONG.

4.3O—HOBSON HANDICAP. Of £200; 7 fur. st. lb, st. lb. Allegretto . . 8 11 Expectancy ..70 Moonfleet ... 8 10 Chief Emerald 7 0 Royal Gallant 8 6 Echo Song ..70 Bugle Call ..82 Diagano ... 7 0 United .... 7 13 My Money ..70 Brown Lap ..70 Tho easy going will be favourable to Allegretto and Bugle Call and both should race prominently. Moontteet. was a winner at hiß last start and would; require only to repeat the form to be likely. Diagano is very fast and may take a lot of boating unless the going proves against him. United is a recent winner, while Expectancy and My Money are improving three-year-olds who may be capable of solid performances with their light weights. Horses likely to bo in demand are ALLEGRETTO. BUGLE CALL. DIAGANO.

S.IS—LIVERIPOOL HANDICAP, Of £350; 1 mile st. lb. st. lb Greek Gold ..96 Prolyso ... 7 11 Baroscope . , 8 13 Woodful ... 7 8 Chief Cook . 8 8 Senegal ... 7 8 Kiltowyn ... 8 7 Master Norval 7 8 Aga Khan ..82 Easter Time . 7 8

The race bears a very open aspect and there are many with chances. Greek Gold and Baroscope have other engagements but, if started, both should be worthy of consideration. Kiltowyn's running on Saturday indicates that he is likely to bo prominent. Chief Cook may go better over the longer distance than on the first day, while Aga Khan. Prolyxo, Senegal, Master Norval and Easter Time are all capable of good efforts and Master Norval will bo in his element if the track is very heavy. Horses who may be solidly supported are

PROLYXO, MASTER NORVAL, CHIEF COOK. RACING FIXTURES November 6—Auckland Racing Club. November 6, 8, 11—Canterbury Jockey Club November 9, 11—Whangarci Racing Club.
