HERD-TESTING RETURNS FIGURES FOR SEPTEMBER [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday An increase in the number of cows tested and a laree increase in the yield arc features of 'the returns of tho New Zealand Co-operative Herdtesting Association for the month of September, compared with the figures of the same month last year. The association tested 88,283 cows in September, 1933, and they gave an average yield of 7961b. milk and 34.381b. butter-fat. The test was 4.31. In September, 1932, 80,416 cows were tested, the average quantity of milk supplied being 7291b., the average but-ter-fat return being 29.921b. Tho test was 4.10. v
