VERDICT SET ASIDE
ACCIDENT CLAIM DECISION RESPONSIBILITY QUESTION [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION'] NAPIER, Saturday In the Supreme Court to-day Mr. Justine Ostler set aside the verdict of the jury awarding Ljjy May White £SOO against William Henry Moody, arising out. of the death of the former's son. Deceased was riding a motor-cycle when he struck a motor-lorry on the main road and was killed. The jury's decision was upset by tho Judge, who held that the last chance of avoiding the accident was held by the deceased, who had apparently failed to keep a proper look-out.
