CATCHES AT OPOTIKI [by telegraph—own conßEsro.vnF.NT] OPOTIKI, Saturday The fishing season has opened* under favourable conditions, and somo fair bags have been secured by Opotiki anglers. Mr. A. S. Dickinson secured ten good lisli, including ,fivo fourpounders, with tho average of over 21b. .Air. McGregor also secured seven fish, these being caught in tho Waimann .River.

There have not been any big catches in tho Waioeka River, but a party of four rods caught nine fish, one or two being of 41b. weight.
