" MAD FAKIR " ARRESTED

INDO-AFGHAN BORDER

CALCUTTA, Nov. 2 Lewanai, known as the " Mad Fakir," who was responsible for the recent grave disturbances on the Indo-Afghan border, has been handed over to the Afghan authorities together with three companions. The fakir was arrested at a British border post after having eluded the British and Afghan authorities for two years, in which period ho first endeavoured to raiso a revolt against King Nadir Shah in favour of ex-King Amanulla, and later .instigated a rising of turbulent border" tribesmen against the British Government.
