ANGLING SEASON OPENED AT TAUPO: PRESENTATION OF CUP FOR LAST SEASON'S LARGEST TROUT Mr L Hanlon (right), president of the Upper Waikato and Tongariro Anglers' Club, presenting the Whitney Cup to Mr. R. L. Begg. of Wellington. The trophy was presented for the largest rainbow trout caught on the fly in the Upper Waikato River during last season. The new season in the Taupo district opened on Wednesday.
