NEW ENGLISH FILM " CATHERINE THE GREAT " What should be one of the most notable pictures ever made in England is now in active preparation at Elstree. This is the story of Catherine the Great, in which Elizabeth Bergner will play the Empress and Douglas Fairbanks, jun., the wayward Tsar, Peter ill. Other members of a distinguished cast are Irene Vanbrugh, Flora Robson, George Grossmith. Joan Gardner. Clifford Heatherley, Judy Kelly, Gibb Mclaughlin, Dorothy Hale, Ralph Truman, and Griffith Jones (now playing in "The Ace"). Alexander Korda, whose ' " Private Life of Henry Vill." is Wing eagerly awaited, is producing, and Dr. Paul Czinner directing. The costumes will be lavish and the whole production strikingly spectacular.
