CHAMBER MUSIC
SOCIETY'S NEXT CONCERT
An alteration has been made in the programme for the Auckland Chamber Music Society's fourth concert of the season, to bo given in the Lewis Eady Hall on Monday, November 13. Mr. Harold Baxter's orchestra, which was to have played a bracket of works by Boradin, Grieg, Dclius, Hoist and Haydn Wood, is now required for IYA on that date, and will be unable to perform at the concert. Instead, the trio comprising Miss Dora Judson (piano), Miss Lalla Hemus ('cello) and Mr. Haydn Murray (violin), which is performing Beethoven's " Ghost" Trio, Op. 70, No. 1, has agreed to give also Mendelssohn's delightful Trio, Op. 66, No. 2, in C Minor. Both these numbers are fine examples of the beauty of chamber music, and should attract considerable interest among music-lovers. In addition, Miss Hemus and Miss Judson will play a sonata by Boellmann for 'cello and piano.
