BROWN HEALTH LOAF
Mix, together one large cupful of flour, one large cupful wholemeal, two good tea spoonfuls of baking powder and half a teaspoonful of salt. Rub into these ingredients one generous tablespoonful of butter. Add one cupful of chopped dates, raisins and nuts. Dissolve one dessertspoonful of golden syrup in half a cupful of hot water, then add half a cupful cold milk and mix with dry ingredients. Put into greased tin and bake in a moderate oven for ono and a-quarter hours. ;
