EX-KAISER'S WEALTH
" EUROPE'S RICHEST MAN "
A fierce quarrel which has broken out between the ex-Kaiser and the German Government on the question of taxation reveals that tho exmonarch is the richest man in Kurope. For the purposes of taxation tho former monarch's fortune has been estimated at 700,000,000 marks (£35,000,000). His representatives, however, assert that the ex-Kaiser's fortune " does not approach the tenth part of this fantastic sum " and assert that the estimate is a " false figure made up out of thin air." he list shows that the ex-Kaiser still owns some of tho finest properties in Germany. Among them are seven palaces with the full use of an eighth during his lifetime, two castles, a principality,- a hunting lodge, an officers' convalescent lodge, six villas ami several churches.
