Xenrlv 100 chiMrcn attended in t aney cost nines, and in addition over 3-50 parents and friends gathered to enjoy the spectacle. For two hours the audience was entertamed by the children with taney and folk dancing under the direction and training of tho school stall. Light children present ei I a spectacular " Jockey'* dance in appropriate costume. and little Pamela London ga,c a solo dance. The judge:-! of the fancy costumes were the ll.in. Mr>. M. MoleswortJi. .1.1'., and Mrs. 1/. Jiartlev, assisted by Miss Betty .Mnicswortb and .Miss Klsie Hunt. Mis. Molesworih. who presented the prizes, paid a tribute to the dancing display by the children, and Mrs. Hartley also made a. brief speech. Bouquets were presented to Mrs. \V. Davidson, Mrs. .'. Livirtgsf.on and Miss Bona Ldwaids '>j tiny tots. . flic priw-winuers were as follows: Girls- Under six vears, Klsie Dickens as "Little Miss Mnliit."; six to nine years, Phvallas Estieh as a girl; nine to I H'fli e vears. Xogabee Corbnn us a Dutch girl: over 12 years, bind Baker as a militaire girl.. Boys. —Under six: Malcolm Lone as ''Cupid"; six to nine years. Bonnie . Steele as'"Parson Joe/'; nine to twelve ! vears, Colin Lowe as "'Albert .Russell s ' Community Singing ; o\er 12 jears, Teddy Jeffries as "John Bull ; best couple, Jovce Steele and Bobby Morrison as the Georgian period couple. Special prizes: Dawn Murphy as Tortuncieller"; Leslie Fuller. "Matchbox"; Bichie Hudson (aged two), "Babv Man"; Craig Brothers fagid about' three), "<lolliwogs": best dancer n, the jocKev dance, Munal Banks. After the "displays the children were entertained at suppi i' by the school conmiittec, each children received a bag of sweets on leaving. The x liool orchestra under the direction of Mrs. Lh ingston 'provider} music for the children's dances and for the adult "old-lime dame" which followed.
