AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION THIRD SERIES OF MATCHES EDEN AND KING'S OLD BOYS The third series of matches in the Auck--1 anel Cricket Association's first-graele championship will be commenced to-morrow. With tho prospects of wickets being fast for ihe> first tinio this season, some very interesting play is anticipated, and scoring generally should bo good. The principal, match at Eden Park will be between Eden and King's Old Boys on No. 2 wicket. Eden at present holds the lead in the championship, but it should find difficulty in disposing of King's Old Boys, which has shown fairly good form to date. Another hard-fought game should be witnessed on No, 3 wicket at Eden Park in the meeting of Ponsonby and Grafton. University and Y'.M.C.A. will journey to King's Cojlego to play their fixture, while North Shore will havo Parnell as its opponent in the match at Devonport. SUBURBAN COMPETITION FIRST SERIES OF GAMES The first series of matches in the Auckland City and Suburban Cricket Association's senior grade championship will be finalised to-morrow, when some very interesting play i.) anticipated. In the principal match at the Domain between Ponsonby and R.V., the former scored 150 for nine wickets and appears to be in a fairly good position. Mount Albert Olel Boys, with 179 for five wickets, should prove a very difficult proposition for Green Lane. In the remaining match between Harbour Board nnd Mount Roskill, the former scored 110 in its first innings, while Mount Roskill has replied with 28 for ono wicket. Lov.-er grade competitions will be commenced tomorrow.
