THE DAIRY REGULATIONS
( r ' ''any fanners would be wise ;? . I <,|,< ! "Dairy Karmer's" letter in last »' '""lay s 11 Mi!ai.i). It is indeed the farmers who toil long hours wishing to pioduee good returns, and the time is coming when they will not tolerate being tied hand and foot. But I do not think lor a moment our present iair-miiuied Rrime Minister and Government will permit legislation that would bind the fanner unfairly, or even compel a fanner to supply a factory lor a whole season against his will when lie may have a just cause to change. It is pleasant to work hard on the land with a good heart; hut quite a different matter to feel bound down too much, especially when we are the producers, and we should he together lo attain our rights. Xor do I consid"r it the least, necessary—not speaking of expense—to see a lady inspector appoint d to see il employees are properly cared lor. I smile to think of the cordial reception they may receive from some of us who know so well how to treat our fellow men. Another Farmer.
