ARTILLERY PRACTICE
CONTESTS NEXT WEEK WELLINGTON BATTERY'S VISIT Competitions in artillery practice for the Hudson Cup will be held at Fort C'autley, North Head, next week, between the 15th Coast Battery, Wellington, the holders of the trophy, and the 13th Coast Battery, Auckland. The visiting team, comprising about 25 men, will be led by Captain C. A. Williamson.' A week's camp, which will commoner to-morrow, will be in the- charge of Captain J. B. Loekhart, and it is hoped that about 40 Auckland members of the battery will attend. There are still some vacancies for recruits. The main competitions will take place on Monday, when there will be firing practices with the equipment at the fort as well as sub-calibre firing. Points will i also lie awarded for tljo work done dur- ! ing the week.
