DEGREE EXAMINATIONS
COMMENCEMENT YESTERDAY CANDIDATES AT AUCKLAND The annual examinations of the University of New Zealand for degrees and diplomas commenced yesterday, there being 206G entries from the Auckland centre, or two fewer than last year. The number of candidates is, of course, much less than this, as the majority of students are entered for more than one examination.
Altogether, there are 67 examination places throughout the Dominion, Auckland candidates sitting at the University College. Other centres in the province where examinations are being conducted are Whangarei, Dargaville, Warkworth, Fukekohe, Hamilton, Coromandel, Thames, Wailii and I e Aroha.
