RISING IN SIAM
REBELS FIGHT TROOPS AERODROME OCCUPIED SINGAPORE. Oct. 12 A rising has occurred among the troops in Eastern Siam and they have captured Donmuang aerodrome, which is a regular landing stage for aeroplanes from Europe. Thirteen kilometres from the capital, Bangkok, tho rebel troops encountered Government forces and firing occurred. No details are available. Martial law has been proclaimed. The Kirig and Queen of Siam are staying at tho seaside. Armed guards have been placed at tho foreign legations and banks. Tho population of Bangkok is quiet. Tho Siamese Consul in Singapore says ho expects his Government to restore normality in two or thrco days.
