fcONVERSION OPERATION THE ISSUE UNDERWRITTEN •LONDON. Sept. 13 The Australian conversion loan has been underwritten. The terms of conversion have pleased the Stock Exchange and Australian stocks generally have been written up. A British official wireless message says that commenting 011 tho operation the Times remarks:—Tho series of operations has been rendered possible by the improved credit and economic position of Australia thanks to the reforms carried out by the Governments together with tho remarkable rise in the price of wool. INTEREST SAVINGS BIG SUM- INVOLVED ' (.Received September 14, 8.55 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 14 Interest savings arising out of Australian loan conversions in London since July, 1932,- amount to £1,582,000 a year, including £320.000 exchange.
