SENT TO BORSTAL

Two girls, one aged 18 and the other 19, pleaded guilty when charged in the Police Court yesterday with heing idle and disorderly persons, in that they had insufficient lawful means of support. Evidence was given by Major Annie Gordon, of the Salvation Army, that both girls had failed to benefit from assistance given to them. At the suggestion of Major Gprdon the magistrate, Mr. W. R. McKean, committed accused to a Borstal institution for two years and directed that their names should not bo published.
