Aug. 25 A further attempt is being made on behalf of the Labour Opposition in tho New South Wales Legislative Assembly to prevent tbe Government proceeding under thd Referendum Act to alter the composition of the Legislative Council. Leave was granted by the Equity Court to-day to Mr. A. 13. Piddington, K.C., to. bo heard in the matter beforo tho Full Court of New South Wales on Wednesday.
