AMERICANS AS READERS
From the American Library Association comes the news that people in tho United States are reading more than they ever have before. 'The circulation of books in many libraries Jias increased more than 200 per cent, and the number of borrowers has increased correspondingly. Moreover, they are reading more educational, informative, provocative books, for figures show that the total borrowed books of fiction have declined from 10 per cent in 1904 to 11 per cent in 1926 and to 9 per cent in 1933.
