"VENUS, LIMITED"
Spectacular settings and gorgeous costumes are features oi "Venus, Limited," which continues to attract large audiences to His Majesty's Theatre. It is one of the most lavishly produced singo entertainments to lie seen in Auckland for some time. The principal artists in a specially-chosen company are Charles Norman, a comedian whose happy, conversational manner has made him very popular, Jennie Benson, who is heard in a number of tuneful songs, and Bene Riano, a burlesque artist of real ability, who also is seen in some remarkable comedy dancing. Other excellent items are provided by Colin Crane, who sings "01' Man Biver" and "Women, Wine and Song," and by L'Etoile and Laurence, brilliant dancers who appear in "A. Haven of Butterflies." "Venus, Limited," will he presented this evening, and on Monday and Tuesday evenings, and the final matinee will be given this afternoon. On Wednesday next the company's second production, "Bright Side Up," will open a season.
