POWER BOARD'S INTENTIONS [by telegraph OWN correspondent] G-ISIjORNE, Friday The first formal step in connection with the plan to convert its loans to a lower rate of interest was taken by tho Poverty Bay Electric Power Board today, when a special meeting was held to pass a resolution authorising the issuo of new securities to replace the existing securities, the conversion to be effected at a time and in a manner approved by the Local Government Loans Board. Tho chairman explained that the proposal had nothing to do with loans raised outside New Zealand.
