KAUKAPAKAPA

A most successful and varied programme of entertainment was presented at a concert held in the Kaukapakapa Hall recently. The hall was filled to the doora with an appreciative audience. The programme included , playettes, sketches, recitations, folk dances, songs, military marching, part songs and a maypole, all given by the local school children and members of the tennis and basketball clubs. . Members of the Kaukapakapa Women's Division of the Farmers' Union also gave items, including songs, duets, monologues, the dancing of a. minuet and part songs. The proceeds are to supplement the fund for school purposes and Mr. Stewart, on behalf of the school committee, returned thanks to all who had helped. Dancing concluded the evening. The aocompanists were Mrs. Buckton, Mrs. Scunah, Mrs. Earle and Miss Astley.
