DOMINION TOURNAMENT [BY TELEGRAPH —FRESS ASSOCIATION] GISBORNE. Wednesday The seventh annual tournament of the New , Zealand Basketball Association opened this morning in glorious weather* before a large attendance. The matches played to-day were between second-grade teams. Following were the results: —Waikato beat Marlborough by 27 goals to 10. The scorers for Waikato were Miss Mcintosh (13), Miss Edmondson (10), Miss Robinson (4). For Marlborough the scorers were Miss G'.eeson (7), Miss Gifford (2), Miss Douglas (1). Wairarapa, 30, beat Manawatu, 5; Poverty Bay, 20, beat Wairoa, 12. The following games will be played to-morrow: — *
Morning.—First grade: Hawke's Bay v. Auckland, Otago v. Southland, Canterbury v. Hamilton. ' Second grade: Wairarapa v. Wairoa, Manawatu v. Waikato, South Canterbury v. Marlborough. Afternoon. —First grade: Hawke's Bay v. Otago, Auckland v. Wellington, Canterbury v. Southland. Second grade: Wairarapa v. Waikato, South Canterbury v. Wairoa, Poverty Bay v. Manawatu. * . •
